Caused by the bacillus Erwinia cypripedii; starts as small chestnut brown spot on leaf; spreads to crown then to other leaves; spreads rapidly; plant can be saved by excision; soak for hours in Natriphene or Anti-Damp; repeat after a few days, two or three treatments. N320

Drench with Banrot, 1 ttpg. A66-406; A75-980 (illus.); A77-449

Small round to oval water-soaked spots, in middle of leaf; not common; spray with Physan 20, 1/2 ttpg. AH22
