ORIGIN: Found from Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama and Peru in montane forests as a small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte at elevations of 200 to 2000 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Found from Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama and Peru in montane forests as a small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte at elevations of 200 to 2000 meters with stipitate pseudobulbs partially enveloped basally by a few, imbricate, scarious, triangular sheaths carrying 2, apical, suberect, linear, obtuse, conduplicate below into the base leaves with a bilobed apex that blooms on a few to many flowered, 4.4 [11 cm] long, slender inflorescence arising on a mature pseudobulb occurring in the late winter and spring.
