DESCRIPTION: A Ecuadorian, miniature sized, warm to cool growing, cloud forest epiphyte at elevations of 1400 to 2500 meters with erect, ramicauls enveloped basally by 5 to 6, thin, pale, unspotted, loose, compressed, somewhat imbricating sheaths carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, purple suffused beneath, elliptical-ovate, subacute, broadly cuneate below and contracted into the twisted petiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer on a slendre, 1.2 to 1.4 [3 to 3.5 cm] long, successively single flowered inflorescence arising onj the back of the leaf and held in a fascile and carrying a thin, tubular floral bract.
