Concocidium ottonis is an orchid species identified by (Schltr.) Romowicz & Szlach. in 2006. Culture information and photos for this orchid are commonly detailed under the currently accepted name of Gomesa ottonis.
ORIGIN: Found in Parana, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande Do Sul states of Brazil at elevations of 600 to 1200 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with ovate, laterally compressed, ancipitous pseudobulbs partially enveloped basally by 2 pairs of dry thin leafless sheaths and carrying 2, apical, lanceolate, acute, conduplicate below into the elongate, narrowing petiole-like base leaves that blooms on an axillary, racemose, few [4 to 5] flowered in the apical 1/2, 4 1/2 [11 cm] long inflorescence that arises on a newly matured pseudobulb with spicely fragrant, large flowers.
