ORIGIN: This miniature to small sized, cool to warm growing, unifoliate epiphyte comes from the western Himalayas, Assam, eastern Himalayas, Nepal, Bhutan, Sikkim, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan and Yunnan provinces of China, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the Ryukyus Islands in evergreen lowland forests at elevations of 100 to 1800 meters or in Hong Kong.
DESCRIPTION: Lithophyte on rocks at elevations around 200 meters with 2.4 to 2.8 [6 to 7 cm] between each thin, slightly basally thickened, elongate pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, narrowly oblong, obtuse, narrowing below into the conduplicate petiolate base leaf and blooms on a basal, slender, to 2 3/4 [7 cm] long, solitary flowered inflorescence that is shorter than the leaves, .
