ORIGIN: Found in Colombia at elevations around 800 to 1500 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with erect, slender ramicauls enveloped by a closely adpressed, tubular sheath below the middle and 2 to 3 others at the base and carrying a single, apical, spreading to deflexed, coriaceous, ovate, acute, sessile and deeply cordate base leaf that blooms in the spring and summer on fascile of successive single flowered inflorescence arising through an erect, foliaceous spathe with tubular floral bracts.
