A Laelia pumila was repotted into round pebbles and placed in a hydroponic set-up where it showed astonishing improvement; a complete unit was set up with two fertilizer solutions, one for spring the other for winter and success was achieved with many genera: paphiopedilums, vandas, zygopetalums, cattleyas, phalaenopsis, cymbidiums, lycastes, dendrobiums, calanthe, bifrenaria, oncidiums, odontoglossums all succeeded in it.
