However, she only observed 5 cattleyas. I would like to know whether this statement is true for those cattleyas in which the roots grow before flowering, the roots grow after flowering, for single-leaf and two-leaf cattleyas, and cattleya hybrids. What scientific articles can I read on this topic, namely, are new roots to start just as the flower buds begin to develop? If Northern's statement is true, then it is easy to determine the time when Flower buds initiation occurs by observing the roots of Cattleya. And during this period, you can create favorable conditions for it (temperature and day length)
