March is a time of the year when many of the orchids we grow come into bloom. Now is also a time to inspect our plants for pests and diseases and take the necessary controls to avoid damage to plants which can hinder future growths and flowering potential. This is a time to tidy up plant containers to reduce unsightly algae growths, fungus and to water and fertilize appropriately to encourage the production of flowers.
