Description: This is a young plant grown from a two-leaf mericlone. It is flowering for the first time, 15 months from purchase. 'Sweet Talk' has huge 10cm flowers.
Culture: All my phalaenopsis orchids are grown in a light dressing of sphagnum moss, with a little charcoal added. They need to be watered every 6 to 8 days, depending on the season, even during the winter. Feeding occurs with watering, and I make use of compost teas, largely from kitchen scraps, of various kinds... their culture is totally organic. Located in a warm north-easterly room, they receive lots of direct morning sun during the winter. However, during the warmer months, a sheer curtain is drawn to limit sun exposure.
