Description: Another easy growing terrestrial deciduous orchid species. This species tends to have more patterns and colors on the foliage, mine being a copper color. H. erichmichelii is unique in the rhodocheila complex in that its flowers are fragrant. They smell of mint gum. The terrestrial bulbs of this species will multiply every year.
Culture: This plant is grown in a tall three-inch pot in full sphagnum moss. It is kept moist while green and growing and allowed to dry for a few days at a time once the blooms have finished. Grown under 50% shade cloth. Replace the media every two years.
