Description: This orchid is easy to cultivate. It flowers once a year and the blooms last several months. It likes rocky soil that drains fast. This particular plant has lots of stems but only one or two are in bloom at a time. The flower is white with dark purple. Each spike has around five flowers all at the end of the spike.
Culture: This plant needs partial or full sun. Water every two weeks during spring, summer and early fall when the soil dries out. In late fall and winter only water enough to keep the leaves and aerial roots from shriveling. Fertilize during spring and summer. Trim the withered leaves once a month. Spray the cutting scissors with alcohol to sterilize before using. Use cinnamon on the places where you cut the plant.
