ORIGIN: This small to medium sized, cool to warm growing terrestrial occurs in Minias Gerais and Mato Gosso do Sul states of Brazil and Paraguay in dry/swampy savannahs and hot lowlands at elevations around 300 to 1200 meters.

DESCRIPTION: This small to medium sized, cool to warm growing terrestrial occurs in Minias Gerais and Mato Gosso do Sul states of Brazil and Paraguay in dry/swampy savannahs and hot lowlands at elevations around 300 to 1200 meters with clustered, ovoid-conical, slightly compressed, sulcate in time pseudobulbs carrying 2 apical, coriaceous, erect-spreading, linear-lanceolate, acute leaves that are dorsally keeled and blooms in the fall and winter in Brazil on an arcuate, erect to nodding, simple, several flowered [6 to 10], 12 to 36 [30 to 90 cm] long, racemose inflorescence with rigid, triangular-linear, acuminate floral bracts and nodding flowers.
