Plant: large terrestrial, 6 cm. ovoid pseudobulbs, 1 or more deciduous linear-elliptic leaves .5-8 x 20-90cm.
Flowers: erect 60-200cm raceme from base, with 3 to 8 large pink, purple or red flowers, yellow or white streak on 3-lobed, large erect lateral lobes
Bloomtimes: spring-summer
Habitat: savannahs and praires
