Common name: Small Round-leaved Orchis, One-leaf Orchis
Plant: terrestrial, to 35cm, single ovate basal leave
Flowers: raceme with up to 15 white to pale pink flowers, red/mauve spotting on a three lobed lip
Bloomtimes: May to August
Habitat: limestone barrens and open tundra, coniferous forests, bogs, moors
Comments: rare in the eastern U.S., but abundant in northwestern continent
Distribution Range: Alaska to Newfoundland south to Montana, Wyoming; Minnesota to Maine, Greenland
