OrchidMania's 19th Annual Sale

It's our biggest event of the year... the "World's Largest Orchid Garage Sale!"

Join us at the San Francisco County Fair Building in beautiful Golden Gate Park:

Saturday, August 9th
9am (early access only); 10am-5pm general admission and
Sunday, August 10th
10am to 4pm general admission

A $20 donation is required to enter during the "early access only" period (Friends of OrchidMania get free admission), but general admission is free.
Easy access via the 9th and Irving N-Judah Streetcar stop, 9th and Lincoln stops on the 43/44/71 bus lines and underground parking at the de Young Garage

Saturday kicks off with a very special "donor's sneak preview" where special friends of OrchidMania get an hour of "first dibs" access to the sale.

We always have an excellent selection of the most fabulous blooming plants and an array of truly rare collectables... making this early foray a must-see event.

The rest of the day is just as much fun, with educational presentations and special "hot deals" presented for a limited time throughout the day.

Sunday continues with more fantastic selections as we bring out another round of wonderful selections from the greenhouse.

That's right... you've got to come back on Sunday because we restock the benches and it's just like starting from scratch! Veterans of our Annual sales know that Sunday mornings can yield many special treasures for discerning collectors.

Whether you are a long-time grower or a new comer to the art and addiction of orchid cultivation, you'll love this entertaining weekend of glitter, controlled MAYHEM, and most of all... orchids, orchids, orchids!

Remember -- all the proceeds go to a really great cause: HIV prevention education and AIDS awareness and relief efforts. Last year we were able to make over $20,000 in donations to grassroots organizations in California and Thailand.

Potting Materials

As always, we'll have everything you could possibly need for your potting bench: cork, sphagnum moss, hanging baskets of all sizes, plus the finest potting media in several size grades.

OrchidMania will present a number of educational demonstrations throughout the weekend:

how to repot Cymbidiums
how to divide large rhizomatous plants
how to mount plants on slabs
how to treat your plants for common pests
how to start new plants from backbulbs

and much more....
